My writing doesn’t just sound good. It works. Whether it’s a thought leadership piece, an email campaign, or branded content, I make sure every word is aligned with your goals and speaks directly to your people.
On The Janelle Show podcast, I dive into the real stuff like mindset shifts, business pivots, and everything in between. I bring that same realness to my writing. No fluff. Just strategy, honesty, and a whole lot of intention.
I write to move people and grow businesses. If that’s what you’re looking for, keep scrolling to see some of my work.

Helping vs. Hovering: How To Know When You’re Doing Too Much
Parents are no longer just attending basketball games. They are telling the coach how to coach and feeling frustrated if their child does not get enough playing time. There is intense pressure to create an ideal childhood and raise a child who is good at sports, popular, excelling academically, getting into every college, and eating all the right foods—that pressure can make it hard for parents to take a step back.
I have seen this pressure play out up close at my own child’s activities. At a basketball game for 4-year-olds, parents on the sidelines began arguing with the coach about their kids’ playing time and positions. The intensity of the other parents’ reactions felt in proportion to what was happening on the court.

Creative R&D sprints that turned experiment into shippable ideas
The American poet and social activist Langston Hughes once wrote: “A dream deferred dries up like a raisin in the sun.” This is definitely the case within many marketing departments, its files are full of raisins.
But the sad thing is that most creative ideas floating around didn’t vanish because they’re bad – they vanished because there was no straight path from “interesting” to “let’s make it real.”

How Homeschooling Reshaped Our Family’s Idea of Education.
My mother spent her life teaching in public schools. I grew up believing classroom was the only path to success. But when it came time to educate my own children, I chose a completely different route.

Medical Tourism Is the New Middle-Class Healthcare Hack
I did not come to Thailand expecting a lesson in how broken the American healthcare system truly is. I came because my son needed braces, and back home, the quote nearly made me stop breathing. Almost four thousand dollars for a mouthful of metal. Four thousand for something his dentist described as “routine.” Four thousand for a child who still loses his shoes at school and asks for snacks every thirty minutes.
Still, taking care of your kids is not optional. So I did what most American parents do. I tightened my budget. I shifted bills. I convinced myself I would figure it out. That is what families do. We stretch.

My 81-year-old grandma is still in remarkable health. She says not chasing traditional success is the key to her longevity.
My grandmother has seven children, numerous grandchildren, and even more great-grandchildren. I was shocked that she wanted them all to come, but we obliged and took them over. That moment summed her up perfectly: full of life, spontaneity, and joy.
Now at 81, she credits her longevity to building a big family and redfining success.

Homeschooling my kids while running my own businesses is not easy. I do it for the freedom it gives us to travel.
I have always known that I wanted to homeschool my children. I planned for it before they were even born. I had a rental property that I would list on Airbnb, allowing me more flexibility to dedicate my days to schooling.
Unfortunately, my plan was upended when my condo association changed its rules about short-term rentals. I continued my longtime work as a marketing consultant while homeschooling. Earlier this year, I also started a company focused on kids’ events.

Why Curiosity Should Be a Core Competency for Marketers
They say that curiosity killed the cat; well, I say it makes an excellent marketer. When people ask me what makes a good marketer, I don’t say “knowing the latest tech” or “being a social media pro.” The truth is, the best marketers I know are curious. They’re the ones who don’t just stop at the first answer. They dig deeper. They notice little things other people overlook. They ask questions that make you pause.

I earned my master’s from Full Sail University. I thought the online program would be easy, but then I got pregnant.
I always knew I wanted to earn a master’s degree, but as a mother of one, I recognized the need for flexibility in my studies. I was working from home and had to care for my toddler son, so when I began researching my next level of education, one of the requirements was an online program.

I’m the only person in my family to go to grad school and become an entrepreneur. I often feel guilty for ‘making it.’
Growing up as a first-generation American and as a daughter of an educator, college was a requirement. I started with an associate degree, but when I completed my master’s degree as a salutatorian, I felt a deeper sense of achievement.

From AI to AR: The Top 5 Tech Trends Parents Should Watch in 2025
The day that my son asked if he could have a laptop so he could start coding Roblox games on his private server, I knew I had to catch up. He was eight at the time, and for him, coding and servers were just standard. For me, it felt like another language. That moment made me realize that I couldn’t protect my kids by pretending the tech world was something far away. It was already in our home.

Beyond Screen Time: Why the Future of Parenting Depends on Community and Connection

What Being a Homeschool Mom Taught Me About Building Tech
I’ve never written a line of code. But I’ve built lesson plans, activities, and full-on learning ecosystems for my kids.
And honestly? That’s not so different from building a startup.

I was trying to solve a real problem.
If I’m honest, it started selfishly.
I spent hours a week searching for educational, safe, and fun events for my homeschooled kids.
